Our Services

A Little Bit About Us

Greenvale Dentistry began as a single chair solo practice established by Dr Alfonso Sammassimo in 1997. In 2010 we relocated our growing team to a new purpose-built facility equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and technology to ensure our patients receive the highest level of dental care and treatment.

Our new facility has enabled Greenvale Dentistry to become a multi-purpose clinic. With the broad range of services on offer, patients can come to one location and have various types of advanced dental procedures completed here. We act as an emergency dentist for Melbourne residents and our team of qualified dentists and dental hygienists specialise in services such as dental implants and Invisalign. We offer extended trading hours for your convenience, including early morning and evening appointments as well as Saturdays.

Our Greenvale clinic is always welcoming to new patients! Contact us today to request an appointment. Our dentists and dental hygienists will be pleased to assist you in any way possible and all efforts will be made to accommodate your schedule. Everyone at our office is at your service. Please complete the attached medical history form and bring it with you for your first appointment. Download PDF here.

Our Superior Technology

In order to maintain the standards we set for ourselves at Greenvale Dentistry, its imperative that appropriate technology is at hand for all Dentists and Dental Hygienists. Melbourne residents rest assured, it's for this reason that, as technologies advance, so too does the way Greenvale Dentistry operates.

From the most routine dental procedure like fillings or bonding to the more complicated procedures like dental implant surgery or Invisalign the latest technology is being utilised. Because technological advances improve not only the efficiency and accuracy of modern dentistry, but also the patient experience, we thought you should understand how. All equipment and materials used in our practice are specifically chosen for their scientific and technological superiority. We pride ourselves on purchasing and maintaining the latest equipment available to serve your needs.

Outlined below is a list of some of the technology we use on a daily basis, and how it can be used to improve your smile.

Digital Intra-Oral Radiology

Digital Intra-Oral RadiologyAll X-ray images, including all intra-oral radiographs, are in digital format, viewed on a computer screen and thus requiring less than one third of the radiation doses administered by our dental hygienists when taking conventional X-ray film.

Digital OPG

Our OPG X-rays are also in a digital format, using the most advanced digital OPG machine. With the latest software applications, one X-ray image allows your dentist or dental hygienist to investigate many different aspects of your oral health.

Microscopic Dentistry

Microscopic DentistryMany fields in dentistry, especially endodontic therapy (root canal treatment), are best practised with the aid of a dental microscope. Our dentists utilise the science of microscopy in many of their endodontic procedures for better visualisation of the dental canals which are often almost invisible to the naked eye.

Endodontic therapy can also be performed during an emergency by one of our emergency dentists. Melbourne residents call 03 9333 6403 to see an emergency dentist today.

Digital Intra-Oral Camera

Nobel Guide Computerised Implant PlanningNobel Guide Computerised Implant Planning

This useful tool allows you to clearly observe your dental needs before treatment, in the planning phase and upon completion of a procedure.

Nobel BioCare's proprietary software allows us to plan dental implant procedures with incredible precision. We are one of the very few clinics in northern Melbourne equipped with this amazing technology.

Equipment Invisalign

Invisalign is a service being introduced in early 2012 in our Melbourne clinic. Invisalign is a clear alternative to metal braces. The aligners are virtually invisible, making invisalign the clear alternative to people worried about their appearance. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by your cosmetic dentist.
